It would be hard to find a similar paying job in canada. Is there some kind of legal issue I would be in if I dont migrate to canada? Will I be barred from ever entering that country again?
Canada PR rules have been tightened in Feb 2008. Once you lose it , next time you may not get PR if you apply.

I have been working in US continously since May 2003. I have not committed a single crime other than an occasional traffic ticket. I have a fantastic work ethic and can give tons of references of clients and people who I have worked with. I have paid taxes at the rate 25% to 28% in the last 6 years. I pay property taxes. I have never missed or been late on a single credit card or rent or bill payment. I have excellent credit history. After 6 years now recently I wanted to go to India to see my ailing father who had a heart attack and my attorney warned me that since I am on H1 visa and working as a consultant and am not a full time employee I should NOT go to India since the US consulate in India is rejecting or deffering issuing of visas quoting various reasons. They are basically trying to make life miserable for people regardless of their experience or value they bring to the table. What am I supposed to do? Do you just want me to go back to India - is that the end game here? I will if thats what you want. I will pull my money from the US economy I have invested in. Stop paying county and property and federal taxes. Stop paying license fees every year to the county. I will stop paying the humongous H1B visa extension fees. I hope this is what you want as you build your country's future with illegal immigrants whom you seem to favor more than people who are here legally. I wont even tell you how frustrating it has been to wait for Green Card which seems beyond possible!

First of all you are not supposed to involve in any of the PERM process. Its plain illegal. It seems you are taking the wrong route for your porting.
I know but when there is a chance, we must make sure. Who told u that always works.

We are a big company B part of another big company Part A. The labor, I-140, and I-485 has everything mentioning B as the employer.
But for the employment letter, the lawyer got the letter from A which refers that I am a permanent employee of B with all the required details. I asked the lawyer why the employment letter is on company A's letter head and she said it is fine since your Company B is part of Company A.
I am concerned how will USCIS know Company A owns Company B. HOpefully it's fine.
Please help.

From my experience, if you file EAD/AP by yourself, all communications regarding EAD/AP will go to you. No need to file G-28. If you want all I-485 communication rerouted to you, you need to file G-28 and put yourself as a representative.
I could not find age restriction for EAD, you may try to file. However there are legal restrictions on child labor in US so I really doubt they will issue EAD for a minor (under 14 years). My friend cound not get EAD for 12 year old.
Any others suggestions from other members...

Lucky you�you can make plans like these. Most folks visiting this site are stuck in retrogression. Most will be willing to do AOS or Consular Processing, even if it means going to US Consulate on the north pole, if only it were to be allowed....Best of luck, hope you have fun making this choice

History channel premiered a program "Naturalized" yesterday (12/18). They covered people from so man y different walks of life facing so many different problems to get GC and citizenship. But in the 90 minute program there was no coverage on how our community is struggling and no mention about the plight of the employment based category.
Makes me wonder if there is enough awareness about our cause.
Contact the History channel and ask the same question.

I e-filed AP(I-131) and mailed the supporting docs 2-3 weeks after filing...
so far no RFE or Approval....
Supporting docs I sent:
Confirmation receipt
Copy of i485 Receipt notice
2 recent color photos
Copy of Drivers License
Copy of Passport
Copy of previous approved AP and
Current i94 copy
