My Creative Space: Leather And Photoshooting

Lately, I´ve been working on leather bracelets like this one you are seeing here, which is called "Peace and Love" (the meaning of the letters) .

Also, I finished all these rings last week. This was a special custom order.

And here are some trials of some new photoshooting I´m trying to make this week. I´ve been recommended to add modeled photos to my listings and I´m working my best on them.

I will be listing all these new pieces very soon.

I hope you liked my creative space this week. You can see more lovely spaces at Kootoyoo.

Laughing Baby And Dog

It´s amazing how animals so big like this one can be so gentle with a little baby. They have a wonderful instinct to play with toddlers.

I loved this video and wanted to share it, very sweet relationship.

Happy Wednesday! :)

My Creative Space

Today I´m going to share with you a bit of my creative space and the projects I´m working on.
I received new supplies and I´m starting to make some custom orders. The pendant with the heart is one of the new items I´m making.

I try to keep my table very tidy because it helps me to work better, but sometimes that´s hard to achieve. I think I have more than 2000 beads!

And, well, here it´s me at work. Always, trying to use powerful lights in my studio as they help me to see better and be more efficient. Lightning in your work place is very important!

I hope you have enjoyed these pictures and if you want to see more creative spaces, visit Kootyoo.

Virtual Trip To Gran Canaria: Part III

This week I would like to invite you to another virtual trip for my city. Have you missed previous virtual trips? Check them here!

Today we are visiting Las Palmas Cathedral and surrounding areas.

Here you can see a park which is very near to the Atlantic Ocean.

This is a picture of the Nestor Alamo statue, which was a very important artist here.

This gate is one of the entrances to the Colombus Museum.
Colombus stayed in the Islands for a while and that´s why they created this wonderful museum.
The whole area surrounding the Museum is very quite and calm.

Quiet corners to have a nice chat, drinking coffee, tea, having a snack...

This is the Perez Galdos Theater, which is divided in two parts: the older one, built in 1890, and the modern one, built less than ten years ago.

Here you can see the Mercado de Vegueta, a market who was opened by the Queen Isabel II.
It has been remodeled recently and now it looks so much nicer on the inside and outside too.

Details of the sorrounding streets, like this amazing gargoyle. On the right picture you can see the flags of the CAAM, an important artistic modern museum.

A bunch of beautiful and typical balconies.

A funny thing I noticed recently is that the City Council has put this plate in several historical buildings, so now any tourist can phone this number and receive information about the place he or she is visiting, in different languages.

Here are some views of the Santa Ana Plaza.

A curios fact here, the Canary Islands were called this way because of the word dog in latin, which is Can. And few statues of cans situated in the Santa Ana Plaza represent this origin.

And here it is, the Cathedral.

And here are some views of the Council Building.

And here is me again, just saying thank you to all of you who read this post, I hope you had enjoyed it!

See you next week on another virtual trip!

Working On Custom Orders

I usually work in a lot of custom orders. I love them because they help me to connect with the taste of the people I work with.

This is one of the last ones I´ve been making recently: a Swarovski crystal set in green peridot.

I hope you liked them.
Happy Weekend!

Virtual Trip To Gran Canaria: Part II

This week I bring you the second part of this series of "virtual trips" of Gran Canaria. If you missed part I, check it out here!

The place we are mostly visiting today is one of the oldest part of the town, and also an important commercial area: Triana. The route we are "walking" is the one pointed in red in this map.

We start at the San Telmo Bus Station, which is the central Station in the city.

The Station ends in the San Telmo park, a lovely place to have a coffee or tea at the terrace, share time with friends or family,...

Here you can see the big marquee situated in the center of the park. On Sundays, a band of music usually plays there few songs to entertain the passerbies.

This "ship" here is an attraction for kids in the park.

Here you can see the Tourism Information kiosk placed in the park. There you can find maps, help, guides, anything necessary to start your journey on the city. I especially love this kiosk, with the vibrant colors.

Nearby the park and entering Triana, we can start seeing the commercial buildings.

Triana is a mix of traditional and modern culture. It´s a very long street, with a lot of smaller commercial streets surrounding it. Terraces have become very popular lately and every restaurant adds one.

This is new. These beautiful pieces called here "regaderas" were installed in Triana few months ago and the value of each one is 3000€ ($ 4100).

I´m not sure if this can be called a mime, but certainly you can find a lot of artists in Triana playing music and performing every day.

As you can see, terraces are always full, especially at weekends, when the streets are most crowded.

In Las Palmas (my city) there is a law to protect very old buildings with a lot of history and cultural importance. It´s funny to see very famous brands, like Zara, Mango or Pronovias, installed in these gorgeous ancient buildings, respecting their facade and interior structure.
It is a nice way to mix contemporary with traditonal. These buildings are more than 200 years old.

And well, here it´s me, your "reporter", lol!

I hope you have enjoyed this trip and if you would like to see more, next week we´re visiting the Cathedral and surroundings, the oldest (and most beautiful, in my opinion) part of the town.
Happy Thursday!
