I received the receipt number today from my attorney
My application was received in Nebraska on 19th June, filed concurrently, with I 140 pending in Texas since 5/16
My I 140 was approved on 27th July.
My receipt numbers are as below, so it was moved from Nebraska to Texas
I-485- SRC-07-230-xxxx
I-765- SRC-07-230-xxxx
I-131- SRC-07-230-xxxx

My questions are:
I am in H1B status and plan to keep it. I need to go for Landing in Canada (PR approved). I have pending I-485 with approved AP, and EAD(not using).
1. My passport with old H1B visa is expired. The H1B visa is also expired in may 2007. I have new valid passport(India) with Canada Immigrant Visa and approved I-797 extension for H1B till 2010. Can I safely use automatic visa revalidation to come back after landing considering expired visa in expired passport?
If I decide to go for Stamping:
2. If stamping gets denied or delayed, can I come back in with AP?
3. I may have to file EAD renewal application before I leave. Is it safe to travel outside US after filing for EAD renewal or will the application be considered abandoned. I plan on using H1B stamp or automatic revalidation to come back.
My wife is H4-> F1-> now pending AOS because using EAD(from I-485 pending not OPT).
She will accompany me to canada with pending EAD renewal application:
1. Will her EAD application be abandoned or is there no risk? She will be using AP to come back.
2. Does she need to carry employment verification letter etc. I know for OPT EAD they recommend not to travel while EAD application is pending or carry an offer of employment or verification letter to help re-enter.
3 Does she need to submit all her I-94's when exiting US? I know she will get new one with AP expiry date and Pending AOS stamped at entry.

Sorry if this is not about GC or any US immigration processes...i just would like to know if anybody can help me or provide me the procedures to obtain Canadian PR. I already had an assessment done (me and my husband under H1 here in US as Accountants ) and we have I-140 and 485 pending. We are thinking of trying Canada.
I always checked and read this site but this is my first post and your help would be greatly appreciated.

No I have no proof to substintiate that, but I have read it on few forums here and there, I live in a very small city in NY, I know atleast 15 people with their PD in early 2003, That tells me the extent of problem, how many would there be in NJ, CA, IL, TX, VA etc. The only relief would be people who would convert to EB2 and leave that space. Labor Substition was a devil which has created most of this problem as I can see there are hardly 15-20% original beneficiaries for these 2002-2003 Labors.
Are we sure that there are around 5-6k EB3 pending in the years 2002 and 2003. If thats true then it will take atleast 6 more years to process all the EB3's for 2002 and 2003 :(

Where the hell all these guys when EB3 is getting 80K to 100K of total 140K visas all these years and EB2 is getting just merely 10%-15%. Nobody from EB2 didn't felt jealous like this before. It is hard to digest for them now.

Its the DOL's mistake for the delay of labor approvals ,hence the visa wastage.Otherwise this backlog for EB3 I woudnt have been there in the first place.
The two years standard gap would have been maintained there for EB3 I and EB2 I as usual.
When there is no movement ,this will be the reaction for the EB3 I people.
When you are eager for yr Gc ,the same rule applies for everone.
There is a big block EB3 row in between -so dont say all the visas were taken by Eb3 I only.

Congratulations..my application was received by NSC on July 2nd too, and I haven't received anything yet..hope i will get it sometime soon...so are all the applications that went to NSC on July2nd are getting transfered to TSC ??

I could convince 3 of my colleagues who are READY RIGHT NOW to contribute $1000.00 each. I can do $500.00.
But they asked me just one question. What is the action plan that IV is collecting these monies from prospective immigrants who are already in pain due to this economy and all that. I did tell them about July 07, flower campaign, but they are not willing to listen. They said they did not contribute at that time due to some reasons, but they now want to contribute big way. They have a much bigger friend's circle than mine who are also doing good from top schools who may contribute too. They may also register in IV soon.
But their only question is "What is the action plan for FUTURE". Can you please help.
I am confused myself with the same question, no offense. Like me, they wouldnt wait and wait forever for things to happen. We Strongly believe in any action towards goals. Trust me, we need lots of money, but the way they responded made me feel uncomfortable.
I do have the same question. I dont see people come forward and contribute untill they see something or any clarity.

When is the next congress session? is it in Nov/Dec (the so called lame-duck session). I am wondering about chances of having some immigration measures during that session. Being a lame-duck session, do congressmen can take up a serious measure like immigration for discussion (either CIR or SKIL)? If not - is it possible to introduce some highly desirable stop-gap measures like: ability to apply for 485 during retrogession; recapturing the unused visa numbers from previous years with soft country limits (as is done a few years back); and faster backlog reduction at BEC�s. In short I am wondering about our strategy for next 4-5 months; and is there a hope - however small it maybe � hope of getting something done this year; Or our only hope is with next congress?
Talking about next congress - I was wondering about what is the best outcome for us during elections? Does democrats getting majority in both houses is better for us or is it other way? Or a combo is best for us (democrat majority in house with republican majority in senate).

My application was received on July 2nd 9:01 AM, if it matters it was signed by R Mickels
I have not seen the notices yet so I dont know what the notice dates are.
