Well I guess one way to make a point is by having a fax, letter and email campaign to let Businessweek know that they will be boycotted.

Hi,
I will be traveling during May to India (Bangalore) with a 3 hour layover in Frankfurt (Lufthansa). Is there anyone who has just returned through frankfurt without a transit visa?
What is confusing is that on the Indian website of Lufthansa it says that "Expired Visa with I797 extension notice accepted " Check out the last line in bold font.

Do you think this company has boss, HR, etc? It could be one man show and he wants suck this guy's blood.
Unfornunately most of the guys who can not get a job in US and did hard jobs initially some how hot gcs and became (desi)employers. Also unfortunate that lawyer guy is joined with your employer and trying loot you.
It has to be anyone of a rank signing the letter saying that you work in this position for this salary, someone like your boss, human resources, whoever is nice enough to sign it, they are not really strict on this one, they are on the I-140. Do you have that approved?

Hi All,
Looks like there are interpretation issues for few IV members (I'm not against to any member or isolating any one).
However, I have noticed interpretation issues in understanding a thread / posting for few members (based on their reaction).
The way RED dots are given really pinches to the posting owner.
My GC has been approved and I have not married yet. So I have posted my issue on thread and seeking helping from fellow IV members. I have received nice responses. I also have noticed the following comments on my control panel.
Looks like, some members have serious interpretation issues. They all gave me RED DOTS.
I really don't understand, why some one behaves like this when some one else has a real problem

You can't fix everything. Be ready for both.
Here are some ways to handle this:
1. Take it easy (Long term solution)
2. Don't click on the "UserCP" link (Short term)
3. Take a break from IV for few weeks (Short term)
4. Open few threads and give reds left and right for 5 people (Immediate relief)

You can say by mistake or something else some people chose to go for Consular Processing when dates became current and they all are in bad shape at this time. If you think about those who applied for Cp being in US then you would realise 485 filers are too much priviledged in comparison of them.

If you're seriously considering a campaign, I would try talking to a reporter friend about 1. whether you should do it (I think it would be counterproductive); and 2. if you decide to do it anyway, how to go about it.

Almost everyone is for legal immigration, but a majority of Americans are very concerned about illegal immigration. I called USCIS NSC yesterday and asked if my new approved I-140 was interfiled with my pending I-485. The IO asked me for my A# and then told me that she doesn't see the new I-140 starting with SRC on the system. She only sees the original I-140 with the LIN. It was very frustrating to hear this as I had called NSC a week before and the IO told me that the new I-140 is in the system and visa was available for me. However, I remembered that last week the IO did not ask me for my A#. She only asked for the receipt numbers of my pending I-485 and the new I-140.
Friends, what else can I do to make sure that my newly approved I-140 under EB2 is interfiled?
Speaking from my case, I called NSC for the same reason multiple times and every time the information I got (now looking back) was either useless or insignificant. Only one procedural info I got once was correct. They informed me that when you Interfile, your request goes into your file and no receipt or any other update is done to your case. When your 485 app RD becomes current and an IO picks up the case to work on it, should consider the Interfiling request. If your PD is then current due to the Interfiling request and every other detail on your 485 app is complete, your case is approved immediately. That is exactly what happened to my case. Calling them is less fruitful and more frustation. I only called them once a month after they changed their processing dates for the month just in the hope I may get lucky with an IIO who may give some info. Never did. I also took an Infopass, but that was fruitless too, as they also could not provide any information. Just asked me to wait until my RD becomes current.
Hope this gives you some perspective and lowers your anxiety.

The only thing that really worries me is that in the withdrawl notice from USCIS it says
"'As a result of your request, your application is considered withdrawn, and it will recieve no further consideration by USCIS. There is no appeal to this decision.'"

What you are saying I understand. And many american/GC holders work as independent contractors on 1099. But H1B is never designed for independent contractor (1099). H1B is designed as W2. By using percentage basis H1B consultants are trying to work like independent contractor on 1099. USCIS is trying to crack down on that.

The best answer to US selling to Pakistan is, not to buy military equipment from US. Then US will not have an incentive to sell to Pakistan.

I sent my application on 29th Sept 2010 and have not heard anything yet.
Most of the times I can't get hold of anyone and when I do they keep saying that they are not ready yet! That's very helpful!
God forbid if I have to leave the country due to any emergency, what the heck will I do then?

I had to sent them shipping tracking info and eventually they found my application sitting in a drawer. Never bother to opened it till than. I had to go through some higher level rank person to get my case resolved. The customer rep. phone is always busy, never able to get a hold.. I don't have to visit them for next 10 years,,,, thank GOD..
