From what I gathered, you were just being a messenger and if you look at my post, I have never referred to you in anything. All my answers were directed to hadron. At the same time its a little frustrating to us when people repeatedly keep on questioning our goals/legitimacy. Being a messenger, you bore the brunt from some of us :(

Mr. Murthy didn't bring out the message correctly. If you read clearly his message is directed towards state govts which dont provide infrastructure and mandatory English as education. So, I think he meant that as long as state govts act upon giving good infrastructure and mandatory English, young talent will remain in India.
But r the bloody politicians listening?
The man is worth $1.6 billion and need not resort to such cheap gimmicks and hez no longer the chief of Infosys. And the guy who cant interpret a simple message and calling it a gimmick whoz he? Some small time programmer sitting in a corner typing stuff about Infosys/gimmicks???--- LOL. Give the revolutionary businessman some respect will ya?

Hi Folks,
I have already complained to State DOL since last 3 months and still their is no movement...i heard from one of my fellow employee at the precious employer that the guy received notice from DOL immediately but dont know what he did after that....and now he seems that he is closing down his company becoz most of people have left owing to his unethical pratices....he doesnt provides health insurance despite mentioning , says that leaves can be encahes only after a year..
and now cooking a new story for rather than sending the w2 , telling that u should receive notice for 25 k from his lawyer....
in india there is a proverb "ulta chor kotwaal ko daante" which exactly is the scenario ......

the best way to get more support is to be more inclusive .... what I mean is 1) either we have a parallel campaign for those who are on EAD's only 2) add EAD issue to this campaign too.
------------ on a side note, I wonder what the effect would be if we were to have a campaign saying that we may end up walking away from our homes (jingle keys) because of visa delays / denials ??
btw ..it is still not late to link immigration delays to housing ..see the latest article below from Reuters
... by demand it means new buyers and immigrants are big part of that !!

Housing Sales Lackluster This Spring: Coldwell
This year's peak home-buying season was lackluster, as buyers seeking to trade up to larger houses were absent, said the head of one of the country's largest real estate firms.
Jim Gillespie, president and chief executive of Coldwell Banker Real Estate, in an interview with Reuters, said sales were only modest during the spring, with demand overwhelmingly dominated by first-time home buyers and investors.

Move-up buyers are those seeking to trade in their current home for a larger one, and Gillespie said that group is important for sustaining a healthy real estate market.
Because of the sharp decline in housing prices and the collapse in consumer demand, homeowners are having difficulty selling their current homes to move up to pricier properties.
"They are key to a U.S. housing market recovery," he said. Gillespie said some of this lack of demand could be alleviated through more incentives. He recently met with U.S.
Congressional leaders to discuss housing, and said he supports a bill currently in the Senate calling for a $15,000 tax credit for all buyers of primary residences, with no income limit, for a period of 12 months.
The current $8,000 tax credit, first passed in February as part of a $787 billion fiscal stimulus plan, is limited to first-time home buyers and expires at the end of November. The proposed plan would expand eligibility to all home buyers and increase the credit to $15,000.
The U.S. housing market is in the midst of its worst downturn since the Great Depression. Home prices have been falling since peaking in the second quarter of 2006, and the Obama Administration has tried various measures to restore that market through tax benefits and temporary halts to foreclosures.
"Congress is focusing on the foreclosure problem, which is a good thing, but they need to focus more on the demand side," he said. Gillespie said market realities have come to bear as well.
"Many people got spoiled by mortgage rates at 5 percent and below," he said. "When the mortgage rate rose above 5 percent, it spooked many buyers who were already hesitant," he said.

to get the receipts. Lets not bug them and have them work instead on receipting. With over 500K+ applications, it'd be a while to get the reciept..
oops did i mention EAD/AP..ur gonna have to wait a really long time on that one.
Can't we request for a temporary EAD 90 days after you receive the notice ? in the local immigration office (For Example in Boston).

my case is quite funny.
Applications went to texas service center originally.
From there they were transferred to California where they issued my EAD and AP but transferred the application back to TEXAS.
Oddly enough the only thing that i initially got in the mail was a transfer notice and the ead cards. I didn't get the receipt notice, the AP or a FP notice?????/
Any Idea whether anyone got ead without FP?
Same with my case too. Got receipt notice only for my 485, No RN for EAD/AP and none for my wife. but received the transfer notice from CSC, case transfered to TSC and also received EADs.
Check with your attorney, they might have the receipt notices. In my case, they did have them. Also AP shows as approved, not received it yet and no updates on FP yet. Hopefuly will get soon.

EB-3 india is not yet completely out of 245(i) mess. If you remember the last month's priority date was 22Apr 2001. Now in Jan priority date is 08May2001. 245(i) ended on Apr30th 2001. So this month's progress still includes 8 days of 245(i). I would imagine that more cases were filed from Apr 22 - Apr 30 as this was the last week. So its still a long way to go before EB3 is completely out of 245(i).

Why are we rambling on and on about this? There is absolutely no connection between India buying fighter jets and immigration. That was what the OP wanted to know. If the immigration processes will get affected because India excluded Boeing and Lockheed. There seems to be no connection between the two issues. Period.

Additionally, they can "spill over" only in the last quarter...
So all in all, I do not see much of GC approval till the last quarter of next fiscal year; those 120k preadjudicated cases will sit in show case....
I used to like Ron Gotchers ideas and used to visit his site/blog; but after initial few months, I realized that he does not know any more than any of us...he just throws in ideas; some of which are completely base less....I feel bad about those people who believed his ideas and opted for CP while USCIS has already preadjudicated large number of applications....(he predicted at that time that July fiasco will happen every year, so do CP)

You seem to have got your case approved and you have filed your wife's I485, correct me if I am wrong.
What do you say to people who have been waiting from 2002 and 2003 and 2004, as of today there is no difference for person who got labor approved in May 2007 and case with priority date May 2003. For lot of them it has been a frustrating and stressful period, mainly because their spouses have been idle.
How on earth can you come with this idea, see the traffic on this site now, when core IV team was fighting for the retrogression and other benefits for our cause, there were very few. The world is selfish buddy. I wish you good luck on this idea.

I have contacted local lawmakers and was told that one office is sending a letter to the White House. However, I was not able to get a copy of the letter so I am not sure if that will really happen. I have asked my employer to send a letter as well. I have sent a letter to IV and White House today and have sent out a template to all friends and family in hopes that several of them will send in letters on my behalf. I know of three people that have done it thus far.
