The place we are mostly visiting today is one of the oldest part of the town, and also an important commercial area: Triana. The route we are "walking" is the one pointed in red in this map.

The Station ends in the San Telmo park, a lovely place to have a coffee or tea at the terrace, share time with friends or family,...

Here you can see the big marquee situated in the center of the park. On Sundays, a band of music usually plays there few songs to entertain the passerbies.

This "ship" here is an attraction for kids in the park.

Here you can see the Tourism Information kiosk placed in the park. There you can find maps, help, guides, anything necessary to start your journey on the city. I especially love this kiosk, with the vibrant colors.

Nearby the park and entering Triana, we can start seeing the commercial buildings.

Triana is a mix of traditional and modern culture. It´s a very long street, with a lot of smaller commercial streets surrounding it. Terraces have become very popular lately and every restaurant adds one.

This is new. These beautiful pieces called here "regaderas" were installed in Triana few months ago and the value of each one is 3000€ ($ 4100).

I´m not sure if this can be called a mime, but certainly you can find a lot of artists in Triana playing music and performing every day.

As you can see, terraces are always full, especially at weekends, when the streets are most crowded.

In Las Palmas (my city) there is a law to protect very old buildings with a lot of history and cultural importance. It´s funny to see very famous brands, like Zara, Mango or Pronovias, installed in these gorgeous ancient buildings, respecting their facade and interior structure.

It is a nice way to mix contemporary with traditonal. These buildings are more than 200 years old.
