140K GCs were available on Oct 1 2005 and Oct 2006: categories were not current.
< 40K GCs were available on June 12 2007: all categories were current.
If there is a law to prevent acceptance of ALL AOS's on Oct 1 (when 140K GCs are available) then that law was violated on June 12 2007.
If there is no law to prevent acceptance of AOS's on June 12 (when < 40K GCs were available) then all categories should have been current on Oct 1 2005 and Oct 1 2006.

This reply shows that because no visa is available they cannot accept the applications. If courts find any mistake Judge may order to correct the procedure. It is tough for courts to order USCIS to accept I485 when Visa number is not available. In case court dismisses the lawsuit then DOS and USCIS will make those happenings in July as a precedence. It needs to be seen how the drama unfolds

Apparently you completely missed the point. I am asking core members to participate in discussion on these forums, not to put sensational headlines that excites people. Hope that helps.
IV is making efforts to prepare for the coming coming months. It involves but not limited to funding drive to sustain and grow efforts, membership drive to grow in size and have impact of numbers, generating awareness and building support via media articles. It sounds easy..but funding drives are not always easy when reality strikes...how about starting a spreadsheet with names and ph# of people who are willing to contribute $100 for this lawsuit. As soon as we have the 1000th name, we start depositing money to a bank account. 100 grand is not small amount and I am sure we can find a good enough lawyer to start a lawsuit for that kind of money.
I and my wife are ready with our 100 bucks each.....and can help with maintaing the spreadsheet etc.... how do we get those 1000 names now....or do we even have support of 1000 people around here...that is the biggest question.

Just by becoming depressed the process will not get expedited..The process will take its own time so just forget and pray and enjoy your life.Life is much more than GC and getting depressed just for it and not sensical.It is not a life and death matter.Make your and dont spread it to your family...

It can be counted against family quota but should be given along with the primary. Otherwise its crap.
