You have a valid point but in worst case scenario, can i use the EAD and handle the RFE at the time of citizen ship... is the RFE during approval of GC or during citizen ship ?
You won't get an RFE during approval of GC since you are legally here all the time due to AOS but your wife will get it when you file for her GC since she would be out of status all this time.

I got EADs for me and my wife, but photos got swaped.

The only missing thing I see is that I-485 has also been pending for > 180 days.. If thats true.. you are good to go... 140 > 180 days has not much significance... only approved 140 is important... Good luck...

Hmm...that is an interesting trend. With TSC approving 485's left and right these days anything is possible at that super-center !
Yes, it is for TSC. And i did check . Thats how i realized they are approving AP and EAD for the early June filers. And i assumed my AP will be approved in couple of weeks. But never thought my July filed EAD will be tied along with my June filed 485. I don't see any AP or EAD approved for even early July filers in atleast for India.

Out of 105960 filed applications, 79,782 applications have been certified, and Indians have 22,298, which is almost 28 % (DOL certified EB petitions).
I was looking at the flcdatacenter website for Perm labors filed in 2006, and here are the numbers of total perm filed :
Total : 105960
India : 26636 = 25.2%
China : 8222 = 7.75%
No wonder china is moving faster in the EB categories

Living in outside India, we need to learn much caution.
This is a true incident happened in NY.
A boy from south India came to NY by family immigration sponsored by his uncle. He came after his 10th grade exam. Living in uncle's house. After few days in US, he played ball with some kids in the street. Ball strayed into somebody's garden. He went to pick the ball, and then he thought about taking permission from the house owner. He didn't ring the bell, just went inside the house, where he find a girl sitting in a sofa. She is a teenager alone in her home at that time. As soon as she saw this dark colored boy, she screamed and ran outside the house. He saw she is screaming, he also ran outside. All these sound make the neighbors attention and some one call 911 and police arrested this boy for attempted rape. He served 6 months in prison. Rape charge is rejected with a plea bargain for trespassing, all because he is minor 15 years old.
So need to change the behavior with socializing in this country.
Well just to get away a bit from the complications of immigration!
Either the victim (who lost jwelery) has some animosity to you/family/your sister or your sister by her actions has given him/her reason to suspect her for the lost jwelery. Maybe your sister might have been a frequent visitor to that house? Or the jwelery was lost immediately after your sisters visit? First identify what prompted this accusation and then tackle it. Ofcourse consult a good attorney.
Even if the person acuses your sister, she is inocent until proven guilty and unless there is sufficient evidence there is no way your sister will be convicted by any judge/jury.
Lesson to learn; Don't get tooooooooo close to anybody. Helping is good but even with your relatives you have keep a certain distance and respect their privacy and territory. Indians tend to overlook this and often asume that they can enter into other people's lives, think for them and act for them. Its ok in India but once you are here things change quite a bit.......:o:o

You must ask the badge number and note down the time of each call. Then file a complaint if you are not satisfied with the customer service experience.
Once we have a proof of hundreds of such written complaints, IV can also follow up. We need people to file 'written' complaints in order to help improve the service.

Some people did mistakes in the past and tried to correct it. If they are successful in correcting the mistake legally, then you should feel happy about it and wish them success.
At least don't wish them bad luck....
This is stupid. I am not wishing good luck or bad luck to anyone. We are trying to explain the rule and its consequences. Its up to them to take it or not. Moreover I am not a fan of people who applied H1 through some desi consulting (most of them with fake experience), sitting on bench without any project and put everyone in the bad light, giving ammo to the antis. Do you know how many house wives put eight-ten years fake experience when they dont even know the difference between USB port or ether net port. Its not a mistake...its called greed. I got a RFE for employment letter not matching closely to the PERM job ads. My 140 is under premium process. The new emplyment letter has been resubmitted. How long does it take for USCIS to make dicision on my case? Will it be process in priority because it's a premium process? Or there is no premium process after RFE? Thanks.

What if you directly send a personal check?
MAy be good for large amounts. But for small amount too much fees is associated. I sent some checks of $100 to a charity , almost Rs 500 was deducted as fees for every Check. It was Syndicate Bank where they encashed the check.

roseball, agree. got same resp from my attorney while filing AOS for my wife
1) employment letter ( just sent original & copies too )
2) I-134 ( convinced that they will need this even for H4 dependent )
3) did not ask for W2's or pay stubs
4) of course original medicals in closed envelope
5) all previous H4 approvals + I94's and color photocopy of entire passport
6) photos and required cheque's
