Who told you that you will get EAD/AP in three months. Nothing will prevent USCIS to develop backlogs in EAD/AP too now. "Oh there were so many filed in June/July so that we can't process them that fast anymore...":cool:

On aug 9 th, USCIS nebraska center issued a total of 4063 receipt nos for 485, EAD, and APs.

From this, if we assume ~4000/day, it ll take 20 working days to clear july 2nd filers (~80,000). My guess is by 31st Aug.

Define "unprofessional" and how it applies to the replies here?
In what part of the world is standing up against drug peddlers and traffickers is limited to "personal" interpretations of moral? Drug laws are not intended to satisfy some lawmakers personal morals, but it is there because selling drugs is illegal regardless of what yours, mine or anyone else's personal moral fabric is.

I never said 80,000 FB visas are reserved for EB. Then those numbers would not be called as FB visas, would they?

Hence I said, USCIS is THE bottleneck. For the 3 years (out of the total of 15 years), unavailability of visa numbers is THE issue. But for the majority of the years, lack of visa numbers is NOT the issue.
When is this name check reform getting implemented. Why is is so difficult to implement ?

There were times when I was really depressed, specially when I got delayed in New Delhi with "Name clearance" for H-1 renew. However, I believed in higher power and never lost hope. My parents (mother US citizen,father GC) always kept my spirits high. I also got a lot of support at my job (when I got stuck in India, my chief pulled all strings possible to get me cleared).
I also had a backup plan, where I could go to Canada or worst, can go back to India where I have an established practice.
Botomline, do not loose hope and work hard.

It defeats your H1B and Green card application. America invites H1Bs and gives them greencards not because they are paying taxes but because employers prove no american is available for our job and we have unique skills for job. my case is quite funny.
Applications went to texas service center originally.
From there they were transferred to California where they issued my EAD and AP but transferred the application back to TEXAS.
Oddly enough the only thing that i initially got in the mail was a transfer notice and the ead cards. I didn't get the receipt notice, the AP or a FP notice?????/
Any Idea whether anyone got ead without FP?
Same with my case too. Got receipt notice only for my 485, No RN for EAD/AP and none for my wife. but received the transfer notice from CSC, case transfered to TSC and also received EADs.
Check with your attorney, they might have the receipt notices. In my case, they did have them. Also AP shows as approved, not received it yet and no updates on FP yet. Hopefuly will get soon.

I wonder what our children and grandchildren will learn from all these. When they grow up and know that their parents had to go through this mess while waiting to be accepted legally for xxxx number of years and some people got the "grand reward" of being illegal for many years!! My PD is Aug 2005. My employer by mistake sent the 485 application on June 27 and USCIS received on June 28. Today Aug 21, I received the rejected 485 full package back. Employer is following up whether it can sent back. Anybody has any idea of any luck in this case, or has to wait till dates are current again?:mad:

I am not sure if this is the trend everywhere only in TX. The DPS - Department of public Safety which is issuing Driving License started asking for the Employment Verification or latest Pay Slip. I asked the officer if its the new requirement and she replied Yes, its started recently. If you are in H1 or H4 visa, you need to prove that you are still in job and getting paid. One more nail in the coffin.
