Mickey Mouse is the most recognizable cartoon character who has become an icon for The Walt Disney Company. The alternative names are Bob Cratchit,Prince Mickey, King Mickey Mouse and Mikki Hiiri. Mickey Mouse first appeared in an animated short called Steamboat Willie. The film premiered at the Colony Theatre in New York City on 18 November 1928. ickey Mouse's original name was Mortimer but Lillian convince him to change "Mortimer" to "Mickey.
